About Pier
As Managing Director and co-founder of Dekunova, Pier both leads the firm and works alongside its clients. He believes the best engagements leave an organisation stronger than it was - its own people more capable, less reliant on outside help. Like the rest of the team, he works shoulder to shoulder with clients, and sees Dekunova not as a supplier that organisations come to depend on, but as a long-term partner they can grow with: there to help them mature, and there again when the next challenge calls for it.

“What drives me most is leaving an organisation stronger than I found it, its people able to carry the work forward instead of depending on outside suppliers. Too often an engagement is shaped around the implementation rather than the client, and what was delivered starts to slip the moment the contract ends.
I have always worked the hard problems through rather than around them, and I deal with people the way I would want to be dealt with: openly and fairly. What goes around comes around, in work as much as anywhere else.
The part I value most is the moment a team no longer needs me. That is when the relationship is at its best - they carry the work forward themselves, and we are there again when the next initiative arrives, helping them grow, elevate and mature.”
